Almost Home Pet Adoption Center: Nelson County’s No-Kill SPCA
There’s something for everyone…volunteer an hour a week, an hour a month or even once a year, every hour counts! We have events and service project opportunities that don’t require a long-term commitment. (And it’s not just about helping at the shelter-you can help from home!)
Love to give parties? Plan an adoption event or fund raiser.
Talent for writing? Help with our newsletter or writing pet profiles.
Great at organizing? Head up one of our committees.
Have a passion for education? Help with Humane Education in our local schools.
Are you a computer geek? Take on an IT project.
Passion for retail? Be a super sales person at our Thrift Store!
Retired professional? Donate your valuable advice.
Looking for an exercise companion? Take a dog for a hike (you just might find him a new family on the trail!)
Handy around the house? We have lots of “fix it” projects.
Love training dogs? Help make our dogs more adoptable.
